Just fiddling around at home, I feel like there are a few things I could've done better, heads too dark, and I regret the bangles, got a bit messy there. Oh well I feel better now, had a bit of a paint.

My name is Kara Matters, I am 26 and a talented artist/designer/stylist

I am currently employed as a trainee in Design Engineering.

My dream job: Work for a fabric designer in studio, creating ideas and learning all I can learn.

Second dream: Get a business partner with the cash and technical knowhow to get my own arts/design/fashion business off the ground. This is second because I am a realist.

My artwork and fabric designs are saleable and I am very flexible when it comes to discussing design ideas, what sells and what doesn’t.

I can design artworks and fashion, I have a keen eye for style and dressing for body types. I did a diploma in fashion. I have experience in small business having previously run Karda Designs, a wholesale silk and silk scarf Indigenous business. I also have retail experience and customer service. I love to make a great sale and thrive in an environment working with others.

Through Tafe I was placed to work with Liz Dawes at Cocoon. I had to design a print and garment then make the pattern and sew a sample. I'm so proud of my pattern, I found a way to make it out of one pattern piece! so I have made this duplicate for myself and will ware it to the Parade :) with appropriate under garments of corse lol

will have to post piks of these garments on models :)
